Celebrating India's art and festival together! These blocks are made out of waste wood pieces which are usually burned for the daily chores. The artists from Rajasthan have carved waste into the beautiful blocks and by carving such intense designs on them, they are now no less than an amazement. What is more amazing here is to note that the value addition to these fine pieces has been done by our very own members of the Pardhi community of panna. Such initiatives are aimed to generate local businesses and of course the alternative livelihood for the communities. Another noble idea behind this innovation of bringing wood and vivid colours together is to support and promote handmade over the machine made and celebrate the age old art and never let it die out of ignorance. Here is to the wood, the colours, the communities and our green lungs, our forests.💚
